    Hi Casique1

I  was made aware of it by another member. I have emailed WGT members direct with the link. Am hoping to get some feedback on what they think about it.

Is it legal?? Can we shut them down??/ I really dont know.

One things for sure though - its CHEATING, and we need to shut them and others like them down.

    Cheers Doug

No worries, I reported that site to WGT last week so they are already on it.

    howdy

i dono you guys but since i know that this is possible i have not a good feeling at the moment, regarding to spend money in tournaments or clubs if i have no chance against others who use this BS !

I think it is the job of WGT to keep us informend regarding this, cause only to say that it is not allowed is not enought.

For me in personal it would be VERY calming if WGT could explain what exact this "tools" are and more important, how they can break this kind of software, cause we all know that clarification of facts is the best way to squash rumors of sth. !

    Thx a lot in forward.........

    Casique

.. and ban, permanently, any and all accounts associated with said cheating.  Forfieture of monies spent, prizes owed, and credits banked.

    PERMANENTLY.

    Bastards.

The best way to be proactive about this is to find the programs that would work and report them immediately.  Let's give 'em a hand and help shut down anyone who might be using it.

If they have a list of offensive programs, they could easily scan your processes during play or possibly on the break between holes.

There are a couple of programs out there that I'm aware of.  And yeah...they'll slow the swing meter way down.  I don't use them (as I believe the scores of all my rounds will attest), but it would be hard to shut them down.  Gamers use them for all sorts of purposes. I believe WGT's best bet, if possible, would be to do as nivlac suggests -- scan your processes during play.  I really don't see where the fun would be if you cheated.  I wouldn't be able to look myself in the mirror if I'd have cheated my way out to Pebble Beach next year!  (by the way, I didn't even qualify for the final round)  :0(

*edit* - *disclaimer* - I am in no way trying to imply or insinuate that NASAGolfer cheated his way to Pebble Beach.  I am just saying that perhaps I could have competed if I'd have cheated; that's all I'm saying... no more, no less.

Can't understand the satisfaction in cheating at anything, but would hope it could be detected and

addressed, but I do wish WGT would make a couple of changes to enhance play. I find it frustrating

when I'm trying to qualify for any of the tournaments and there is no easy way to start over or quit. If

I'm trying to shoot 70 or better and I take a 10 on a hole, it'd be nice to start over. I also wish I was able

to choose the hole I started on, so in the event a particular hole is giving me trouble I can avoid it until

until the end instead of, for example, having to play the first 7 holes until I even get to my Waterloo and

then wind up with anoth 10. It makes the first 7 holes pointless. I also would like a practice course of maybe

3 holes that I could select at random and experiment with shots. I'm not that good, but I enjoy the game. Playing

a hole like the 3rd hole (in the game, not necessarly on the course) on Kiawah Island closest to the pin, that

is posted at 165  yet the closest I've come to the pin was on a nutted 3rd iron that ran halfway to the hole even though the

rough isn't that deep, the elevation is negligible, and regardless of wind direction. There were several holes like that

at Bethpage Black also that perfect swings couldn't produce the carry to reach the fairway? I don't know anyone that

can't carry a tee shot 225 yards most of the time, yet ever time I played that hole I found myself practicing different

options while I was trying to score. Let's see I'll aim for the sand in hopes of a better lie in the event I can't carry the

trap? Who plays golf like that? Anyway, it would just be nice to have a chance to see the effects the conditions incur,

like we all do in real golf. Not complaints, just suggestions. Loved the games and the website. Thanks WGT!
