OK guys - I'm new and  I've been through the FAQ and searched the forums so please don't shout at me and tell me how dumb I am..

But I am still confused regarding what exactly the club ratings mean in terms of the number it is given.

Here is what I read and sort-of understand BUT what I need to know is when a HIGH number is BETTER(or worse) or when a LOW number is BETTER (or worse) for these two specifically:

Precision: Defines generally how close to the aiming point the ball will land based on where you hit on the swing meter (SO IS a LOW or HIGH number BETTER?)

Forgiveness: Displays how much Distance and Precision the ball will LOSE if not hit perfectly (So is a LOW number BETTER?)

I'm really confused here and want to buy some clubs.

Can somebody just explain these 2 to me please

Hi, a higher number is better for both.  -Keith

As Keidan said, the higher the number the better, for all attributes.

My tables might help you to compare the stats of clubs and balls.

You can sort and filter each column using the little grey boxes in the top row and each item name is a clickable link which will take you to that product in the pro shop.

↓↓ EDIT : Thanks guys, appreciate the comments. ↓↓

Oh and a very nice handy spreadsheet by the way.

Very helpful and an awesome tool to use :)

Wish the FAQ was a bit clearer on the rating stats to be honest.

Sorry about that Max, Microsoft for some reason decided to disable bitly links.

Try THIS. There's also a link on my profile page.
