"wind at your back, go up a club --- wind in your face go down a club.  This is counter-intuitive and BassAckwards!  When I hit a 225 club dead-center perfect from the fairway on Beth Page with a 13 mph wind behind me 170-190 seems to be both wrong and the norm.  My best round has been when I utilized the aforementioned method.  My distance complaint concerns this club management strategy.  Somethin' aint right here.

I have actually seen this problem as well, and what I have been posting about with distances being inconsistant and shot variancies being wild. You hit a chip, for example, and you have a very low lie <25% and the shot goes only a few yards as opposed to what you used club and shot wise. At times I have seen where you can use a short club, with wind in your face, and go much, much farther than what that club ever should.
