...are sometimes truely Master-ful *hint, hint WGT*.

We've got snakes in our ranks, time to root them out.  Do IP checking or whatever it takes.

WGT ALEX, do you find it plausible that someone would shoot these low scores within a day or 2 of joining the site?  I would guess that you wouldn't considering your best round is a 35 and you have been here from the beginning and have far more exclusive knowledge than anyone just joining.  Si I guess, my question is what are you going to do about the cheating that is and has been running rampant in the lower tiers?

There is no way possible someone shoots a 30 one day after joining the site.  Period, end of story.  My personal opinion is eliminate any and all prizes from the lower levels until you can get a grasp on the cheating that continues to spoil the hack tier.  I look forward to your response.

You could go back into every tournament for months and you'd find the same kind of results, thetruth67. I mean,  the obvious part is that they are multiple accounts, I think those of us that pay attention see that.  The reality of this is that only someone in the current Master division is capable of putting up those kinds of numbers right away, so really, the issue is finding out who these "Masters" are, and getting rid of them.  My suspicion is that it's a select group of people doing it over and over again.  Reasoning?  They can't seem to win anything in the tier they are in, so it's much easier to feed at the lower trough.

IP checking is definitely an option, as is a minimum # of rounds before entering a tournament.  Not too high a number as to put off the occasional player, but high enough so that you'd really have to work at it to record enough rounds(and stay within that tier) to join and enter in the same week.

I agree 100%.  I know that this has been going on for a long time.  I just figured if someone new posted the message that maybe we could get a new response

You gotta feel bad for the honest people in the Hack & Amateur tiers sometimes. :(

These people will be on the leaderboards until the tournament ends and we verify the scores. These standings are not final, so seeing them on active tournaments does not mean they will stay there once the tournament is verified. The best thing to do is to email us suspected cheaters. We investigate them, DQ them from tournaments when we verify scores after they end, and disable their accounts. We also do not rely on user reports only as we also look into any suspcious accounts during the verification process. Thanks

I think my point was, what are the root accounts of the players who are creating more than one account?   Find the answer to that question, and you'll save yourself alot of headaches later.

Just trimming the tops off the weeds doesn't get rid of the weeds.  You have to dig out the roots...

To be honest I'm not sure how tibbets finds half of those guys.  Some of them are pretty obvious, 1 or 2 rounds played, but not all of them.  I'm impressed that you (tibbets) take the time to look out for the little guys in the first place.

    "vincemahr"

This is a player who was called out by Tibbets, who is still on the Master leader board.  I didn't think it was fair THEN when Tibbets, Jarid, Nivlac, Avatar, ncviz etc. were the real top ten, and the lower of the 10 haivng to fight there way ahead of vincemahr, who was obviously a cheat somehow and is still on the Master leaderboard, and the last time he played was in April......So those tourney scores haven't been caculated yet then?  He needs off of the leader board, but really did when the real top ten were on there.

    Just my opinon.
