It's useless right now.  Always goes to hole 1.  Can't find your notes on the course and you will make your notes for the wrong hole.  I gave up.  USELESS.

    Hi icon and everyone,

I found something about the Course Notebook that is perhaps a bug/glitch or not.   Either way, for those users who may store lots of information on each page, it is important to note that, currently, there is a 500 character limit per page and no in-game warning indicating that the maximum character limit has been exceeded.  If more than 500 characters are input into a single page, all of the characters will display on the page.  However, once the Course Notebook is saved, the bottom-most data (i.e., data at the bottom of the page) will be overwritten/discarded.  I had this happen to me and I realized I was missing data that I had previously input.

Also, at the moment, I do not see information about the Course Notebook's 500 character limit in the help section found at http://www.wgt.com/help.aspx#accessories.

The lack of help information stating a 500 character limit per page coupled with the lack of an in-game character-limit warning may cause some users severe dissatisfaction if important data is lost without them even knowing why.

It can become a disappointing hassle for users to repeatedly measure if they are exceeding the 500 character limit per page (assuming they even know about it) in order make sure that important data is not being lost.

Below is a set of 500 characters ("test data").  There are one-hundred 1's, 2's, 3's, and 4's.  There are ninety-nine 5's and one x.  Copy all of the characters, paste into a blank Course Notebook page and then save the Course Notebook.  Then, reopen the Course Notebook and input any character into the top of the page containing all of the test data.  You'll see that, before saving, the x is still visible.  However, after saving and closing the Course Notebook and then reopening it, the x is gone.

(Copy each line of test data one at a time because copying all at once may collect the large spaces at the end of some of the rows of test data causing it to be more than 500 characters.  Also, use the keyboard shortcuts [Ctrl]+[C] and [Ctrl]+[V] for copying/pasting in the notebook as using the right clicking method may not work.)

When you're out on the course and you get that gurgling sound in your tummy, run into the woods, do your business and then tear a sheet from the course notebook to clean your bum......word has it that's the best use for it.

JMan...You seem to know the Course Notebook well.

I purchased the notebook after the first revision and supposedly I am supposed to be able to access the notebook while not playing a game. Any clue how to do this(?)

I have compiled all my notes for every hole in word and now I would like to copy/paste my notes to the book...I'm well under the 500 character(s) per page!
