so if you averaged around 68 you got to stay on the same speed greens as before giving you months or years of practice at that default speed..    but if you averaged say 65 or so you now have to relearn all those same putts you used to make as a master...

right as I begin to get used to the default green speed of very fast...   now I have to relearn the greens once again, as the default speed for tour master is tournament .       why would I have much practice on greens this speed?    the only players who might would be legends...

I joined this april and have adjusted from(pro) fast greens to (master) very fast..     but now a third major change of default speeds in just over 5 months...

what pro or even master players will want to play with us if we create games that default to tournament speed...     it makes a considerable difference in how you approach the  courses..  especially length and roll after impact..

seems to me to be a poor decision..    leave the tourament speed to the legends and keep  very fast as the default for master and tour master...

I agree! With the update I have become a master but I noticed another player with a 66 avg who was a tour master. It seems to me that as soon as I get used to playing the very fast greens I'll get bumped to tournament greens. I like that this game is very challenging compared to other golf games but it seems to me that WGT might be going overboard a bit. There's a fine line between challenging and frustrating.

You should try championship greens.  15 foot putter hits the ball 25 feet thus making you play nearly twice the amount of break. I have around a 63 avg over 8,000 credits in 2 weeks and cannot buy any equipment to aid my game.  Actually, it would take about 2 years, by the points system before I can actually buy new equipment to improve my chances at putting together a decent round.  Just tell me something WGT makers,  what kind of drugs were you on when you thought this was a good idea, because I have to get me some of those? This will bring out so many new players (aka sandbaggers.)

Are there any product testers for this game and if so I would fire them because they are not helping.

I'm pretty sure this was a change in name only. I played a ranked round earlier with the Tournament speeds and used my Very Fast numbers on it. This would make sense too because of the Championship speeds being faster.

No sir you are incorrect.  The very fast speed for the greens is still in the game and is the same as before.  The added tournament speed is MUCH faster than the very fast speed.  They have also added championship speed which as a tour master I am playing on for RG's.  This speed has stopped me from playing RG's (WGT loses out on more money.) As for using very fast numbers on tournament speed greens, you must have 3 putted every hole.  Sorry for your poor play...lol.

Not sure how you putt but the difference is minimal to me and Very Fast numbers are working just fine. With over 10,000 putts to my credit I think I have it covered. Thanks for sharing  your experience.  :-)

After being here for over three years each of the updates have improved over all game play.  Give yourself some time to adjust to the greens.  I am still learning the new speed myself and it is challenging.  This is what keeps it interesting.  This game has continued to get easier with improvements in equipment.  Try playing bethpage with 225 driver that was real fun.
