    And that was a HUGE accomplishment in the 60's lol. Most of the time we just lied about doing it on Mondays...

    We were still lying in 1984 ;-))

    No ball pining...but I have to think..'69 I was in the 3rd grade...Nixon had to have been elected and in house by then.

     

    It was later in the year (and not relevant to life in general) but Tammy Tompson (if I recall correctly) was the first girl in my grammar school to wear short pants...girls were allowed to wear long pants or dresses,,we guys just wore Jeans-for the most part...heck ya...good times!!!

    Can't think of a damn thing for that year apart from taking marijuana and LSD for the first time.

    I was released from Borstal on Xmas Eve, not much else.

    1969....  I was 9 years old and been in Australia for 4 years (born in Sri Lanka)

    A slightly different take on a very significant year....not only with your arrival but for aviation. Apart from the Moon Landing, the  747's first flight in Feb 69 and was certified in Dec. Also the first Concorde Flight -WHAT A YEAR. We will forget that Airbus were also trying to internally combust with the A300 project.

    Oh and to be balanced, (what me balanced?) the internet was born.
