When a Burmese python eats a large meal, its small intestines double in size to prepare to digest.

So like nearly every human after Christmas dinner then?

Vladimir Putin announced with great fanfare that he was the first to cross a new bridge from Russia to Crimea. He was actually beaten to the punch; an orange and white cat with tens of thousands of Instagram followers crossed the previous day:

there's folklore about people sending animals across new bridges. Something about cheating the devil out of the first soul to cross..

That cat is now nowhere to be found.

Word of the Day: ÍSBÍLTÚR – An Icelandic pastime that involves hopping in your car and buying an ice cream. Literally ‘ice-cream road trip’..

    Drive-through only.

    Same in Sweden,

The Swedish don’t have a bad life when you think about it. I mean, they get up in the morning, have a bowl of swede, hop in the Volvo, whack on a bit of Abba and zip over to Ikea. That’s my Sunday.

Russian cosmonauts used to carry a shotgun in case they landed in a remote wilderness and had to fend off bears.

Not quite sure, but Voskhod 2 did land in an area with bears in, so possibly..

    Just like  Chicago then .

    TRUE OR FALSE.

The World Mobile Phone Throwing Championships take place in Finland.

The current World Record is held by Belgian Dries Feremans, who threw a phone 110.4 metres in 2014.
