I do not see why a pro would play this when he is playing the real thing almost everyday. Playing madden is totally different. You have guys playing football and joking with each other and ragging so when they get home, their buddy may swing by and play a couple games. It is a lot different to play and be able to get a reaction from a person you hang out with. Why would a professional golfer waste his time on here with loading issues and players quitting after he has been on the real course all day? This game is for the imagination. All you need is to know some math, learn how to push a button and spend ebnough time to learn the game quirks and the courses. Madden is MUCH more in dept and you must have a lot more knowelege of the game. you need to understand the nickel, dime, 3-4, 4-3, spread, spread optaion, shotgun, pro set formations right and left and much much more. It would take a person a year to even compete with another person on Madden that has an understanding of football and has played the game for a little while. Here, a person can compete with almost anyone after 6 months of playing 14 hours a week even though he has never played golf in his life. That is why this game makes so much $. Any Joe Blow can play it and compete. And ANYONE can manipulate his score and average so it looks good on paper. The funny thing is , these guys think they fool people with their 57 average but when they play an alt shot, their 65 average partner is the one carrying the team. NoTso in Madden

You're funny.  Why are you comparing an online game to a console game?  And why Madden? Why not Tigger Woods?( which is far easier btw). Football players don't need to play Madden to learn sets, they are trained to learn sets and their formations are actually much more involved, in some schemes, than in the game.  The point isn't that pro golfers want to come in here to hang out and compete with schmo's in an online competition. The point is that they can use the game to get an idea of course layouts. Obviously this game does not teach you how to play golf, but if you already know how, it could be helpful in prepping for a specific course.  If you want to complain about the game you should just do it in another thread.  Actually, I think the bashers should just create their own thread and they can all complain together.

    Cheers,

    Gip
