I for one an getting tired of people quitting on the 8th hole so they won't post a bad score.Maybe if they had a small entry fee (10 credits) they would stick around.

I think anyone that quits, rather than a game malfunction, should have their score figured into their average. But how do you distinguish a quitter form one that has a computer malfunction? I was in a 4some last week and had to shut down due to a lightning storm coming in. Should I be penalized? Nope. So, no way to determine quitters from legitimate problems. We just have to live with 'em.

Since October 2008 in open Beta. The game was internally launched some time in 2007, I think.

I think the game has already launched. I find it sufficiently playable & enjoyable even at this (imperfect) stage. And I was a happy Gmail user for many years while it was still officially in "Beta"... That Beta putting all competition to shame.

Nothing. WGT have confirmed this game will always be free to play with basic equipment.

I agree, in this regard. No further segregation of players is needed here on WGT.com. The separation into the 4 tiers causes enough bad blood, sometimes.

I have a couple of questions I hope you can answer. I am also in the Tiger Woods online beta. It's pretty good, but I think I like WGT better. How long has WGT been in beta? How long until the game launches? And How much will it cost to play this game when it does launch? I haven't been able to find the answer to these questions yet anywhere on the site. Thankyou

Some of us do not have time to play many times a week, and some of us are not competitive such as those who have purchased equipment. This would separate those of us who just want to play a game, and those of us who want recognition and/or prizes

with ALL DUE RESPECT -

Why do you care what level you are and if someone else wants to spend $ ??? Seems that you want a VERY SIMPLE and fun game to get a little "complicated" --

WGT is FINE just the way it is -- (except we NEED a "practice green")

I see no reason for having to pay to play other than in the tournaments. You can buy other golf games to play if you wish.

But I do think it would be a nice option to be able to choose to play others in the same skill level. I have played a couple of masters and pros with much better averages than me, as well as hacks and amateurs with much higher scores. I don't mind it either way, but playing stroke play in groups that are fairly evenly matched would be more fun for all.

The purchased balls wear out over time. There is a durability stat that tells you how long in relation to the other purchased balls.

When you get to the game screen

1. Pick 'single player' or 'join a game'

2. Pick 'select course' (only Bethpage black and Kiawah are available for stroke play)

3. Pick 'stroke play'

4.Pick ranked or practice (ranked effects your average while practice does not)

5.Pick which nine you want to play or full 18.

6Click 'Tee Off.

If you are in a multi player round you will join a group. If you are in single your game will start.

I am so sorry that you are unable to pay a small price for a good game. Frankly, I am in the same shape that you are, but I have email conversations with some of my "friends" and we all agree that it would be worth a small amount to be able to play with people of the same kind as us. Do not worry, they probably never read the mail

@ NAUGHTY1: to me, one of the reasons that makes this game much more appealing over other golf games is its price: FREE! Don't make it so complicated so that no one can play without investment. I appreciate wholeheartedly what World Golf Tour has done in making this available to play without payment, but I do not have the financial flexibility to pay monthly fees or buy new clubs. I enjoy what I have as it is ... getting money involved would cause a major problem with me that I would not personally enjoy.

I have been playing for only a month, so maybe I should not be speaking up, but I would like to give you an outline of what would make a better game. I say outline because I understand that this is a company who needs to make money to stay in business, and when I recommend, I do not know how that affects your income

I would like to see this split into 3 groups

1—entry level, free play for 30 days

2—amatuer which would not allow you to buy equipment, but if you want to play you would have green fees, daily monthly or yearly, depends on management view. Possibly connect sponsors to the ams. If am purchases sponsors goods, ams could get some free play

3—pro and master which would mean that they have purchased upgrades, and are trying to be competitive for prizes. Seeing that they do not pay for the game at this time, grant them free play.
