    Hi Medley,

Please make sure your system is up to the minimum requirements.  You can check out the min requirements in this post.   Have a look over that and be sure your system is up to spec and that you've done the small things like setting your flash storage as well as clearing our your flash & browser caches.  Please also make sure you are using the latest version of Adobe Flashplayer 10.

You can also check out some of the performance tips I've posted on my profile.  Just click on my name and it'll take you there.

    Hope that helps. =)

Hi guys, my default browser is ie8 and seems to work fine. But as you know the grass is always greener better and faster on the other side. Point being i down loaded google chrome and from what i can gather its a better system to play on. So what makes it better than ie8? Also i've tryed to enter the site using google chrome and i cant find my membership, it asked me to sign up agian whats your advise? I have a pc running on vista and to be honest everything is working great, i would like to make things alittle better if possible but i dont want to mess up what i already have. Is it a risk vs reward situation or iam i just worring over nothing, what say you. cheers griff

    Hi griff,

If you're getting good performance then I'd recommend just sticking with it.  Internet Explorer is a general use browser, so it tends to have generally decent performance overall.  Google Chrome & Firefox are just a tad more efficient for gaming and certain types of web-applications (flash being one of those applications).

Your login credentials won't change, so if you try a different browser the same username/password will work.  Chances are the new installation of Chrome wasn't defaulted to accept cookies and that's why you were having issues logging in.  There is also a separate flash plugin used for IE than for the other 2.  You may not have the flash plugin for Chrome installed and that could cause an issue too.

My best advice is if isn't broke don't fix it. =)

Hey Griff....  I too was worried about witching from IE to chrome and mulled it over for a few days.  The game improvement is substantial.  All you have to do is transfer your cookies and saved files from IE to Chrome.  There should be a prompt box that will ask if you want to do this.  Also, the pop-up blocking system is different.  When you try to play for the very first time you actually have to load WGT through the gameclient address instead of the WGT homepage.  After you do it once and allow pop-ups through gameclient you can go back to the normal way.

    griffygriff:

    thanks guys

I went through the same issues with IE8 and switched to Google Chrome. Very happy with the performance.
