St Andrews no. 1 , wind, 21 mph, right to left 90 degrees to fairway moved shot position from center of fairway to 1/2 way towards right, towards the creek side. hit shot. perferct, exellent lights up, DING, RIGHT ON THE MONEY. RIGHT? Well not so fast, ball went right against a 21 MPH WIND, Rolled a short distance and in to the creek. Thats right a perfectly hit drive went a quarter fairway to the right against a 21 MPH wind. this is ubelievable. this is not a quirk that would happen in a real game, so i dont consider it a normal quirk of the game. This isn't the first time ive seen abnormal wind effects. doesnt matter if the wind is across, with or against the shot. oh by the way it cost me a new ball that had just went in to play on the last hole of a previously round on Beethpage. nice way to make money, HUH??

Did you right click and submit a bug report, providing all the details you could about the shot and the expected outcome?

Looks like you've been around the block a few times so this might not be your problem.  But I've had a few crazy shots that went way off target...near as I could tell, it happened when I adjusted my aim point, on the front view, and the distance changed dramatically.  Since I was still hitting in the direction I wanted, I did not bother to change the distance for the shot using the reverse angle or the inset view.  Maybe I was confusing the program???

Not sure this will help, but I can't ever remember this happening when the distance was correct.

I've done this to myself, too. Leave the aim alone and fire away. The problem is once in a great while the default aim is not where you'd think it would be. Kinda like it was misplaced or something or the caddie took a break.  Now I make sure it's where it's supposed to be.
