Well I just finished my first round at St. Andrews and stunk the place up with a 43. Hole 7 got me with the weird putting scale values, I shot a 9. Other then that, I birdied 9 and had multiple birdie opportunities early on, just couldn't get them to drop. I bogeyed 3 times, Burned the hole on all three par attempts.

I have the card saved with the snipping tool, I can't figure out how to post it in the forums. This course is awesome and you can really get a sense of the golfing heritage. To coin a phrase, "I'm lovin it".

I see some good scores posted so far. I'm going to practice a little bit and then start posting scores. It was fun though playing and posting my first card at the Old Course.

Thanks WGT for the update. The new course and features are great. You promised and delivered.

    Thanks.

    Hi All,

My first round on St Andrews in practice  -5  (31) Great stuff. Thats from the back tees, very fast greens, high wind.

I think we are going to seesome low scores here

Have saved my scorecard, cant remember how to post it ??

    Cheers Doug

I shot 1 under, and that was with some bad shots.  THe course is very easy and I can see some really low scores in the future, and with the right win a -10 on 9 holes.

I will probably shoot 3-4 under next time as I get to know the slopes.

I get credit for the first ball in the drink. Ice cold out of the chute our good friend Mr. Meter says BOO! My bad for not loosening up :(  1st tee shot goes rolling into that hazard on the right. A double bogey later I'm off to a 37. Borked a 5 footer for bogey and sprinkled a couple of birdies in. Heh-didn't have to use the new 300 foot scale on the putter and was nowhere near a bunker (phew).

I was so excited playing St. Andrews! The wait is over! I was like a little kid. I was so into playing and finishing the first round that I almost forgot to go to the bathroom. I made it, though. Shot even par - 2 boges 2 birds. Beautifully done, WGT. I see new driving and putting length records coming from this in the near future.

First round, ranked with no practice look I shot even par.  I suck as well.  This course is going to post monumentally low scores.  Get ready for a large glut of Pros turning Master soon.  I for one will avoid that for now.  Other than the opportunity for very low scores, the course was interesting to say the least.  Fairways like the surface of the moon, and not much to look at scenery-wise.  Thanks for the new course WGT!

One over for me the first time with 2 bogies and then a birdie at the last. (Drove the green and 2 putt). Also had a 349 yard drive on #5.
