Yeah, I'm excited for the most exciting thing in sports, sudden death overtime championship hockey. Although the though of this going to a crappy shoutout like the World Cup does, is just anti climactic at best and a pathetic way to end some great hockey at worst.
Instead of going one 20 minute full period. I would rather see them go one 10 min full period then 4 on 4 for another 10 minutes. Then just 4 on 4 for repeating 20 minute periods after that. Wouldn't mind if the first overtime period went full strength for the full time, just trying to take it easier on the boys.
This possible pending shoutout is ridiculous. And I'd be particularly nervous if I was for Canada, because Luongo looks like Shakey McShakesalot.
EDIT: Didn't realize they were 4 on 4 from the start. That favors Canada.
