If you see it stutter, take a few practice swing without clicking and it tends to solve it self.  Also if you close all windows and applications on your computer it will decrease the likelihood of a stutter.

I don't agree.  Slowing down a swing meter and smoothing it out are two different things.  No matter how slow or fast your meter's moving, a stutter can seriously mess you up.

To smooth out my meter I only play WGT after a system reboot; have the flash quality set to low; and I also use a little program called GameBooster to temporarily shut down unwanted background applications.  After that little procedure, WGT's swing meter doesn't give me any trouble.  It would be nice if this procedure wasn't necessary, of course, but to my mind it's only a minor nuisance.

Keep submitting bugs about the meter by right clicking and give us constructive feedback on when it happens, what your machine is doing at the time etc...  This will help us track it down.  The meter is really a very personal issue.  No two players have the same exact experience in terms of performance.
