Your site is becoming a most grotesque billboard.

I keep getting this most annoying popup ad for skycaddie.
It does nothing to make your game pleasureable.  Quite the contrary, it is an extraordinary, unpleasant addition.

How about a banner airplane in the distance the banner displaying "This hole brought to you by BLueSkie BS CO."

How about "McBurgers Healthy Lowfat BS Patties" tee markers.

    "putt your best with Zest"

I understand your need to make your cash through promotions, but plastering ads in the game screen is, in my humble opinion, shameless plugs, in your face cheap shots.

Would it cost as much for an ad removal option as you take in from est 100000 views per day?  How about 1/100 credit everytime I want a reverse view?  That would be about 1c per round.

I suppose I should not have expected any different; it's a shame to watch a site with so much potential go down the Ad-Week tubes.

Can I put Google ads on my profile?

Gee, I probably shouldn't be brainstorming out here in public,  hehehe.

    "Buy your TP here,"

Hi scoresby, are you seeing an ad pop up in addition to your game window? If you see it again can you take a screen shot and email it to us? The SkyCaddie ads should only be seen within wgt.com and within the game window in scorecards, loaders, and replays. They should not be popping up a separate window...

    WGTalex:
The SkyCaddie ads should only be seen [...] within the game window in scorecards, loaders, and replays.

Not a separate window, but starting from today, the ad also appears (in the bottom right corner) in zoom views. Which means we now get to see it very often, as opposed to occasionally before today.

Typical of every website faterson.....They dont think they get enough money in their pockets so they start doing popups and everything else to line their ever growing pockets with more money. Another way to make your game go slower because the ads have to load with all their graphics

Well, if it helps WGT produce new stroke-play courses faster, I don't mind. The SkyCaddie ad seemed to be pretty simple and one-dimensional, and shouldn't have adverse effects on gameplay or load speed, at least I hope so.

    Hi WGTalex,

I'm seeing that ad in Zoom view on tee and fairway shots in the game window.  It is not a "popup" as such; it comes with the zoom view.

Maybe it's a good thing; I've shot two of my best rounds without using the Zoom, thereby avoiding the ad.

    Cheers,

If you contact WGT they never respond. How about a response here or are you to busy counting your cash. Maybe you could have Avatars wearing advertising.

Be reasonable and keep the ads out of the game play mode. Please respond.

To anyone using Firefox, the 'Flashblock' add-on blocks all flash related ads (Thanks RIchard4168!). That in unison with the Adblock Plus add-on, and you can surf the internet ad-free, if you desire...

WGT is most likely not taking the ads away, but these allow the user to take control of what you see or don't see.

Did anybody catch the irony of the date on the OP?  How about the sarcastic suggestion?

LMAO-Over a year later and here we are.   :-D
