Anybody else gotten screwed because they forgot to change their putter distance from 150 on a 15 foot putt off the fringe?

Why in the world would the putter default to that?

Always check your club before you hit. I have my autocaddy shut off so I have to pick a club or set the increments of the putter. Other wise its my fault.

Take my two Pfennig as an answer:

The putter's default is always wrong (*), ALWAYS!
(except for putts below one foot)

This is because the putter meter becomes faster on bigger meter amplitude - good to leave it below 30%.

(*) true for the irons, to a lesser extent.

I fire my caddie routinely throughout the game but there he is again on the next shot. Double check your clubs before hitting the ball.
