Since they introduced the Match Play option I think I've played one nine hole stroke play round.  More enjoyable for me and fewer people seem to quit.  I could care less about my average but I'm enjoying the game more.

    Anyone else feel the same?

Match play has practically revived my interest in the game. Faster, more competitive, and intense. It's just much better than stroke.

I sure enjoy it...way less drops  but then if you play on the ladders  or in ventrilo...there seldom are any  drop outs...its all good

Either the link is bad or the site is down.  I'll try it again later

The site does seem to be down tonight. Hopefully Mark will have it back up and running tomorrow.

Soulcatcher, we ran into some multi-sided computer issues last night.    First, our matchplay round of 18 collapsed; the initial load took an extremely long time, and when it was finished, you were no longer there. In the chatbox, I mean. Both players were still shown as loading. But when I look at my matchplay stats, I am shown as having lost the match against you. I think this is a bug that WGT should fix. I have never quit or resigned from the match; it just failed to load for us. By the way, I have captured a screenshot of this: the screenshot shows both of our players as "loading" at hole 1 at Kiawah, me talking to you in the chatbox, and you not replying, because you apparently were no longer there. That's fine, because the load probably took over 5 minutes on my side; I'm on an older replacement computer currently. However, if I was readily given a loss for the slow load, the game should have notified me about it, instead of continuing to load for some 15 minutes longer, and showing both players' status as "loading".

Second, there was a short outage of the Ladders site for us in Europe on Saturday night. However, at the time when you posted your message above, the site was back up and running. I also sent you a PM from Ladders site while I was still waiting at Kiawah 1 for our round to load, but that PM didn't get delivered to you. It looks like the Ladders site may have been inaccessible for a longer period of time for some users in America. Nevertheless, the latest forum post made there is by Iceats, who I think is in America, and the post was made on Saturday evening your time, so there were some mysterious outages last night, apparently affecting some WGTLS users and not others.
