  Golf carts go the clean-green way with Wgt.

  

  From being a sport that old retired gentlemen used to indulge in, Golf is rapidly evolving into a sport for the young and in line with this, we have a funky looking golf-cart that the tradition worshipping oldies may even sneer at. That’s right, the Wgt Fuel Cell Golf Cart screams out ‘Radical’ with a capital R all over and has a very simple innovative design that makes it look like one single piece. The Wgt runs on four little wheels on gorgeous three spoke alloys and is a two seater. Further complementing the greenness of the golf course, it runs on fuel cells which makes sure that water is the only emission from this innovative concept’s tailpipe. Designed by wgticon the Wgt tops out at a slow-for-the-street 26 mph which is pretty quick enough for the golf course though.   “We are closer to deploying our buggies in the market,” says Gupta.

  “It’s technologically much easier.”

  Like Google’s cars, WGT'S cart's require a detailed 3-D map of the environment where they operate. Collecting that data for a private golf course like wolf creek and keeping it up-to-date is easier, says Gupta.

  Such environments are also less physically complex, have lower speed limits, and present fewer complicated traffic situations, he says..
