I haven't seen anything myself seve and you know I'm all over this place. A search on the forums for 'betting credits' only nets a couple of worthwhile threads, but there was no response from WGT in any of them.
They still have that blurb in the Terms and Conditions about not gambling credits, so in short, I'd have to say no, it's probably not likely we'll see it. I would imagine there is too much red tape to clear (considering how long it took just to get all countries eligible for credit tourneys), but I could be wrong. I guess we're stuck on wait and see again. :(
