  Chrome released their latest version (76) a few days ago, that might have caused some issues. As claremoreblue indicated, another browser may be a good direction for you.

  Maybe or maybe not.  I play on Chrome and have noticed no difference.

  There are just so many options it is hard to pin anything down for so many different possible setups!

  something similar happens to me, sent out cable company and some cables wore loose my speed went from the 20's to over a hundred and there no more lagging

  Try several different browsers.I play on a Imac and for years I used fireFox and worked near perfect 99% of the time.Then about a year ago I hand what I called meter run on,you know when you click your mouse and the meter doesnt stop right away.I tried every thing and then launched Safari and to this day it works perfect.If I try playing by mistake with firefox I get the dreaded run on.
