I really like golf - on the computer and on the course.

I been playing golf for over 25 years on the course and on the computer - from the first Golden Bear golf game on Atari and PC to the latest Tiger Woods 2010.

WGT is one of the worst golf game online, just as bad as POGO golf. Ball physics and reaction to the wind, and terain is nothing like the real life. I suggest you improve the physics first - than you can move to improve the ball flight and shot shape. There are no cut-shots and no spin in this beta. Swing speed is slow and inaccurate. The percentage of good shots is low even if you hit the lines correctly.

DISSAPOINTING - I even spent money to upgrade my clubs - What a waist...

I hope some one reads my comment and do something about it.

I just finished a close to the pin challange on Old San Andrews course.

On a shot from the bunker with a 9 iron hit perfectly the ball hit the flag and ended 38 ft away.  THAT IS IMPOSSIBLE. Do you know how much spin is a 9 iron generates from bunker? The ball went forward after hitting the flag. My God. a 50Y pitch shot with a LW and the ball rolls 22 feet - IMPOSSIBLE...

    THIS IS RIDICULOUS...

While this game may not be perfect, it is much better than Tiger Woods 2010.  When I play my first online round of all-time and shoot a 53 and still lose by 6, there is a major problem.  This game's scores are much more realistic and that continues to attract me to this game over Tiger Woods online play.  There are some glitches, but they will all pan out.  You should stick around.

    Then don't play. Pretty simple.

There are lots of people here shooting great scores, so I guess it is not IMPOSSIBLE and not RIDICULOUS.

I find myself loving the idea of the game, but after playing for 10 minutes I find myself resisting the urge to smash my computer into pieces. With the absolute perfection needed on every shot and the glitches that seem to screw you on a quite regular basis, I find it soooo hard to believe that people are shooting these super low scores without either cheating, or being unemployed and playing 10 hours a day.

It's kind of a joke that starting out, you can't reach alot of these holes in regulation and have a reasonable chance at a birdie. And don't even get me started on the rough...losing 80 yards or more with a mid iron from the first cut of rough? Gimme a break! Throw the fast greens and seemingly always windy conditions in to the mix, and you have a recipe for some real frustrating game play. I also don't see how I am supposed to put myself in a position to make birdies when I can never reach a green and stop the damn ball! I never have a club that can fly to the green without hitting the endless amount of bunkers, or even the damn grass which may as well be a bunker...so I have to take a club longer which NEVER stops anywhere NEAR the hole. So what's the deal? Do I have to actually spend money to buy clubs worth a crap to play this game? I think that's a rip if it's the case...I would be quite pissed if they do that on purpose to get you to spend money...I already used free credits to buy damn balls that aren't much better than the stock ones. So, with that being said...how the HELL are people shooting 60 on Bethpage Black ?!?!

Yes, the game is a damn gyp. Being able to play for free. And to think that a master of all the games from Atari to Mario Bros. to Mike Tyson Punch-Out, Zelda, etc. can't master this silly game in a week or two means the game is FLAWED! Right? What it actually means is two things: it is a hard game that takes time. It is a game that thousands play and only ten or so players have truly mastered. It is a fact of life.

    First off....yes buying clubs helps.

What do you expect it is a business.

If you are looking for an easy game, this is not the place for you.

This is a golf sim, if you hit it wrong or in the wrong place you will pay.

On the up side, if you stick with it, you will find it to be a most rewarding golf experience because of this.

    Happy hitting.

Ok, first of all...no one realistically expects to master a game in a week, or at all...I never claimed to want an easy game, that would get old even faster. And of course the game is free...it's a beta, we are actually providing THEM the service of testing it....when a finished version is ready for the masses, I don't expect it to be free, but I do expect everyone to be on the same playing field, not a field where your chance of success depends on what level of spending you are prepared for. Now I am not at all opposed to the idea of clubs that perform better that you can EARN, but to just be able to buy yourself more skill sucks.
