Don't have to be so defensive.

The "legality" was in quotes for a reason, as in, "legal" according to WGT's terms of service in that sense of the word.

If you make some software that hits the center line every time and distribute that sure it's legal and your copyright but that doesn't mean WGT has to let you to use it here. It's their site, their rules.

Same for this, which is why I said they would review it and make a decision which would render most of this discussion moot, regardless of our opinions, of which I have none.

    Udpate:

You can now save your notes per course per hole on the page.

It authenticates you by your IP address so if you play from work and home, the notes will only appear on the computer you stored them on. Please keep that in mind.

Also, hopefully you're not using DSL or lost your IP or your notes will be disconnected. I can reconnect it if you know you're previous IP, but please don't make a habit of this.

With that, you can store your notes about how far off the virtual caddy is off and make that adjustment the next time you shoot! How's that? I'll leave it up to you to make the perfect shot but the tool cannot possibly do any more.

It is the full tool for perfection in the game...with the exception of suggesting flag placement, but I can't do it all.

    Good luck and happy golfing.

Where is the fun of learning what each club does in a given situation if you have something else doing it for you.  I spent many hours learning, and still learning the nuances of the clubs and holes.  Golf is about practice, and many hours of it.  I would hate to see something that would deter that learning curve.  Also, where is the satisfaction of analyzing a shot to determine the best approach to the hole given the your current knowledge.  Secondly, how about experimentation.  Given a situation, lets try this shot, and see what the results are.  Just my 2 cents worth.
