    Don’t overthink it

Give good thought and consideration to what you’re about to do. But don’t overthink it.

It pays to make good use of your intelligence. Take care, however, that you don’t substitute thinking for doing.

If your thinking gets in the way of making a decision, you’re probably overthinking it. If your thoughts wander off from whatever you’re working on, you’re overthinking it.

Look at what you’re doing now, and aim your thoughts at doing it well. Think and analyze enough to do your best work, but not so much that you get hopelessly distracted by those thoughts.

You have the amazing ability to think, and it gives you great power. Apply that power in a positive, effective, and consistent direction.

Think, visualize, analyze and imagine. Then get to work, and put those great things you’ve been thinking about into action.

    From this moment on

From this moment on, you don’t have to let anyone else’s opinion have any influence on the way you live your life. From this moment on, you can make every choice based on your highest, most treasured values.

From this moment on, you can let go of all worries about what might or might not happen. From this moment on, you can drop all your resentment and anguish about what’s already in the past.

From this moment on, your life can be as good as you choose to make it. From this moment on, you can persistently stick with your commitment to live the best life you can imagine.

Today your wisdom is greater than it’s ever been. Today, you have more experience than at any other point in your life so far.

So today, and from now on, you’re able to make the most of all that. From this moment on, you can expect the best, and live up to those expectations.

From this moment on, the possibilities are beautiful and amazing. Let this be the day you choose to live at a higher level than ever before.

    Have fun with life

Have fun with your work. Have fun with your play.

Have fun with your obligations and responsibilities. Have fun with all the other great people in your life.

A job you must do is only a chore if you make it a chore. You can just as readily and realistically make it fun.

With what you’re asked to do, with what you choose to do, have fun. Your attitude, after all, is yours to control.

Make it an attitude that will make you more effective. Make it an attitude that will make life more enjoyable.

Wherever you find yourself, whatever you’re doing, have fun. It’s your life after all, so smile, and laugh, and really enjoy the ride.

    You can handle it

When life throws you a challenge, relax. You can handle it.

It won’t be easy, and it will demand a great deal of your time and effort. Yet you can handle it, and when you do you’re likely to be better off than before the challenge arrived.

Look back, and you’ll see that some of the best times in your life were also some of the most challenging times. When you have no choice but to be your best, you always come through.

So go ahead and walk confidently up to whatever challenging obstacle has just dropped onto your path. You’ve done this before, and now is your opportunity to do it again.

Let your thoughts rise above the challenge, and envision how much new value you’ll be able to create. Then take a deep breath, count your many blessings, and get to work.

Go ahead, feel the power of knowing you can handle it. And keep putting that power into action.

    Better approach

When one approach doesn’t work, there’s another one that will. Learn, adjust, adapt, explore, discover, innovate, and create that better approach.

When your plan doesn’t bring the desired results, that’s no reason to give up. Instead, work to develop a new plan and put that plan into action.

When the rain starts falling, continue the party inside. When the wind shifts direction, adjust the trim of your sails.

Decide to make improvements rather than excuses. Choose to find the path that gets you there instead of complaining about the dead ends you’ve encountered.

What matters most is what you intend to do, and why. Be clear about that and committed to that, and willing to adapt as necessary.

Choose not to wallow in disappointment or defeat. There’s a better approach, and you can make the most of it.

    Peaceful pause

Take time often to give yourself a long, sustained experience of peace. Let go of all cares, concerns, pressures, and let yourself enjoy the pure experience of being.

There is much you wish to accomplish, problems to solve, goals to achieve, and that’s great. But you can’t be going and doing nonstop all the time or you’ll burn yourself out.

You deserve a peaceful pause. Give yourself one regularly, and often.

At some point, efforts stacked on top of efforts begin to yield diminishing returns. Before you reach that point, stop and refresh your body, mind, and spirit with a time of peace and rest.

Just because you can always stay connected and engaged, doesn’t mean it’s in your best interest, or anyone else’s, to do so. Make your efforts more productive, more creative, more effective, by taking a regular break from them.

Allow time and space for a refreshing sense of peace to wash over you, to cleanse you, to fill you with new energy and purposefulness. Breathe deeply, relax fully, be at peace.

    Persevere

Somewhere within you is the commitment to move forward no matter what. Find that commitment and activate it.

Somewhere in your life is a purpose that can push you past all resistance. Connect with that purpose, keep it strong and at the forefront of your awareness.

Each difficult moment makes you feel like your easiest option is simply to give up. But you know that in truth your best option is always to persevere.

Stay true to the value, the goodness, the love you feel at your core. Do what you know is right, now, and again, and again.

The discipline to persevere is well within your reach. It’s mainly a matter of choosing to persevere, and you can make that choice every time.

Life will throw challenges at you again and again. Yet you always have the reason, the will, and the extraordinary opportunity, to persevere.

    Knowing why

Why have you chosen to do what you do? Knowing why makes all the difference.

Know why, and you’ll figure out how. Know why, and you’ll find the motivation, enthusiasm, persistence, and strength to make it happen.

Just because everyone else desires to do, to have, to achieve something, is not enough. Be sure it’s truly important to you, and know why.

Give your actions the power of authentic purpose. Tap into a source of energy that grows stronger the more you use it.

Instead of frustration, you can experience joy. Instead of disappointment, you can know fulfillment.

It all comes from understanding why. Know why, and whatever you imagine is yours to create.

    Make it your choice

Whether you have chosen this situation or not, proceed as though you have. Make the decision to choose it now, and to continue doing so.

No matter what the circumstance, feeling stuck will not improve your performance. Let it be your choice to be where you already are, and find power in that choice.

Whatever or whomever may be to blame, assume full responsibility. Put yourself in control by making yourself responsible for improving the situation.

It’s a waste of your time to speculate about how things could have been different. Invest your time taking action that will transform the situation in a positive way.

Your energy is best spent making progress, and not harboring resentment. Make it your choice to be here now, doing all you can to add beneficial value.

You are in this situation to make a difference. Put all your focus on identifying the best possibilities and bringing them to life.

For those of you who read the "Daily Motivator" I will be going to Florida tomorrow and won't be back until late Sunday.  I am not sure I will be able to post until I get back, so don't worry because I will be back to posting soon.  :-)  Blessings, Marion

    Let go of need

Enjoy peace, richness, satisfaction. Let go of need.

The more thankful you are, the less you need. The more profoundly you enjoy every little thing, the less need you have for more.

Love all you love, desire all you desire, seek to grow and build and experience and give. Magnify the richness and fulfillment of it all by letting go of your need.

Do what you do, achieve what you achieve, learn what you learn because you love and respect and value it, not because you need it. Let go of need, and let life be the best it can be.

Honor your commitments, fulfill your obligations because you choose to, not because you need to. Be so highly inspired by your possibilities that you are never burdened by your needs.

Free yourself from need. Enable your life to soar
