Or  is it possible that big foot is real. I think if you want to believe in these things you may well believe that you  the players of this game have some degree of control as to the score without some serious computer magic going on.

I say this having played in a few tournaments lately and when i look at the scores posted, well i have just one word to say BULLstt...(censored for mediator )

Look im no slouch, I'm a master, a God amongst mortals or so i would be told.. cough cough..

But really if we are expected to believe the numbers posted are true and void of computer enhancement ,well i for one will be pulling out my teeth and slipping them under my pillow, hell i may even believe in religion

Maybe not,far to many sins for that caper.

For now i will just enjoy the game for what it is,the WGT boys have a good site and i hope there makin so coin, keep at it.

Im off to the casino to make a million

    .

You know Rustan I thought like this for a time but as I improved I could see how those scores can be achieved. Ive had rounds, well I think we all have, where we get no brainer approach shots that are right on a certain club distance, which can lead to ridiculously close putts. My best 9 hole round was 29 and it subsequently was part of my best 18 hole round of 62. If only a few more putts dropped we're talking mid 20s or upper 50s so those scores you see on the leaderboards are from lots of playing, and most importantly, at least in my case, a smooth meter.

I've dropped my scores about 10 strokes since three weeks ago when I started, so it doesn't seem unrealistic to me that in another month or so, my scores might drop another 4 or 5 strokes. It would only involve a better feel for the meter (for me, anyways) to do so. Invariably, I post a couple bogies (or a double!) in rounds where I have 3-4 birds. If I could only turn those into pars or birds by consistently hitting the center line, or missing it when I wanted to, I'd be a master in no time. Ahhh... but there lies the rub! I suppose everyone has their "gremlins" that they face, but with practice, I believe they can be overcome.

And YES, Virginia... there IS a Santa Claus! :)

Rustan, the fairy is definitly alive & kicking. Take a look at the Ladders and Thunderbird's or AvatarLee's records in them: something like 15 wins & 0 losses, and 19 wins & 0 losses, respectively. You can't fake that, because you need to play against ordinary human beings in Ladder games.

Hi faterson thanks for your input.

I to believe some of these blokes are good, real good and would love to play some head to head matches and i don't mind getting my Butt whipped,Sab has done that often enough. But to look at a one comp for instance, say the current 18 hole single play. The leading score is 58,,, 14 under in strong winds, one shot at it with no second chances. i played this comp and made very few mistakes and shot 72. Even the meter behaved itself (pleasant change) and yes i could see a few birds slip bye But 14 under, give me a break. In unlimited play maybe but not a one shot deal

Unlimited? Do you have any idea how many rounds they've played here? I liken it to a "pattern" in "PacMan": remember how some could stand in front of one of those games ENDLESSLY, just going through the motions necessary on each board to get them to the records they posted? They played and played and played... until it became practically routine.

Although WGT golf has ALOT more intricasies, and can be unforgiving at times, these "masters", IMHO, have truely become just that: MASTERS of the game. They've been at it for YEARS! They don't need to play "Unlimited" anymore, like we do. Heck... I've been playing less than a month (granted, just about daily :)), and I'm just starting to get the hang of it.

Keep playing if you want to get good... if not, don't.
