This game, as are most online games which at some stage almost require you to use your own real world money to either advance yourself or 'compete' are developed and targeted at one group of people.
Those with addictive personality disorder.
This is nothing new, been used in business for eons.
There are only two type of people here. Those who can play the game as a casual online distraction and enjoy it and take it or leave it - Or those who simple must keep playing regardless of whether they're spending their own money or not.
There is probably a lot of statistical information to back up high numbers for those two types of people .
But when you get hundreds of thousands of people world wide . To share and experience one common phenomena . WGT .
Those 2 types of people become hundreds of types of people . All with varying agenda's .
No dispute . It takes all types for this whole thing to have become this big .
Not but a couple months ago . I might have thought that I was one of those people that must keep playing . Didn't think twice about the minimal $100.00 I spent per month on the CLASHes . Buying 5 packs and speed boosts for CLASHers .
But as I have seen in others . And happened to me . I just plain stopped . I had reasons . But on January 19th over a month now . I stopped playing .
Biggest surprise was no withdrawals . Didn't jones at all .
My point is . I don't believe that WGTers have disorders that make them targets for these hooks .
No there are fun and somewhat addicting hooks that are inviting to most .
I am proof that any balls to the wall player can just stop .
