There are many legitimate reasons for a person to quit and it is completely unfair for anyone in this game to feel like they need to criticize that person!  For instance, the link went bad for a bit one day and I was severely criticized for being slow- so slow he had to make a lousy comment and then leave.   You see guys having to leave all the time because of computer problems.  Learn to live with it!

    SVEDA AND SCIDONR

It is amazing that you have computer troubles after hitting 2 bad shots in a row, or when you are losing by 3 strokes. Otherwise, the computer works very good. Don't you find that amazing?

    Snaike:
Faterson officially fails "Quitting" Challenge with this thread.

Nonsense. I have always fervently observed the Boilerplate Challenge, and will continue doing so, unless Snaike cancels it.

I contributed exactly 2 replies to this thread, both of them expressly to Marioh, a Master player with $221.64 career earnings & a join date of 20 Jan 2008 (!). Marioh is not a "New Player" or "New Forum Participant" by any stretch of imagination.

In addition, WGTadmin Himself (not WGTadmin2 or WGTalex, but WGTadmin) contributed to this topic, too, which (at least initially) elevated this thread above the usual redundancy addressed by the Boilerplate Nonsense Challenge.

As you can see, I've been completely ignoring posts by forum rookies like swdeva, scidonr, seventy, and SuperHollis, in full compliance with the Boilerplate Challenge.

PS: Does anyone know if seventy's going to banned from the forums later tonight or only tomorrow?

Also one of the reasons why players are quitting, because the rounds takes too long. Like a round of 4 in 18 hole can take 3 hours. Also in the start when players are still loading, and it takes forever for them to load, they just can't take it, and they quit. So one of the main reasons why players quit also because it is just too long in the round.

I am sorry to harp on a topic that is already been said many times but these quiters and poor sports.. really need something to happen to their stats or after so many quits get banned for a few days or a week ..I have played or tried to four rounds in the last hour and a half all have quit befor the 5th hole... and I have noticed the so called ladies are just as bad as some of the guys..if you are going to be such bad sports why,,do you even bother to join a multi player game  in the first place..these people very much neeed a deterent to stop this foolisness..it is so sad some people are like this..if you have a bad hole this should be an incentive to let it go, n hope you have a better hole on the next one..I do not quit games as it is a challenge to do better.. when I play a bad hole..not quit... ty players and wgt for listening..

Well, today I played a very smart guy who wanted to act like he does not quit, but this is what he did. He made sure he got about four warnings and got disqualified. He was having a very bad round. He is masters and I know he will see this. Shame.

That's the good thing about the Ladders site: your opponent would still be required to post a loss to you if something like this happened.
