If you play even one stroke during a "WGT day", you get the CDP bonus. Check your actual XP before and after you play and see it. Sometimes you may not see it show up immediately after the round completes.
Caveat - you do have to begin the game play after the start and before the end of the "WGT day" which runs from midnight to midnight UTC 0 (GMT). Miss that time period and the CDP counter restarts.
