i dunno if this should be in the bug log.. but more people visit the Beta topic and this needs to be confirmed.

go to #17 kiawah... set yourself up on the green behind the hole 23 feet on the mound created by the bunker.  it should say 23 feet 8inches down.  hit it 15 or 16 feet.  it goes 12 feet past the hole.  is that right?

I wouldn't doubt it's right. The same thing can happen on BPB #15. You can have a distance to the hole that's equal to or less than the elevation change between the ball and hole. And since the rule of thumb is 1 inch elevation change = 1 foot putt strength change, you'd be looking at basically blowing on the ball to get it to the hole. Hitting that putt at 15-16 foot strength was far too hard. I would have hit it about 5-6 with that much elevation change.

i'll assume you were putting, so there's one other thing to consider ...  you might have been defaulted to a higher range putter than you thought  (60 instead of 30, 50 instead 25). Happens to me a lot .. suffer a brain fart and forget to actually see what club/power i'm hitting. What you thought was a 15 foot putt, might really have been a 30 footer

i know what you mean about the distance meter... but i since i was 23 feet... the spider had the right distance meter up for me.  i always double check if im even close to the fringe.

I know what you mean about the distance meter. My putter is usually set for 25 or 50 Ft. When it`s on the fringe it goes to 100 Ft. Hit the ball over a 100 ft Ft of the green and into a bunker, and thought WTF.  Was going for birdy, ended up with triple bogey.  Brain freeze I guess
