    I have over 2,000 ranked games played and probably that more unranked but have always struggled putting ! It may be just me but I feel that,  say a Tournament 12  does not play T12 for all 9 holes and a slow 7.4 will not either. I say this cause the same distance putt at ex. 9 ft 1 inch up will play different depending on the hole. I know break as a bit to do with it and, if the grain is with you or against. But I find even taking those factors in, my putts are drastically different. Read all the putting Tute's ! made a disatnce chart that helped at 1 time as others, but putting kills me !

    any help on how you figure say a T12 is playing T11 ( I know the wgt # don't change) or is it specific holes? I don't take notes, have always played by feel like real golf. But Putt like Ernie on #1 yesterday and no, thats not funny or good !

    Rookie;)

    A few things to consider when putting...especially on the slicker greens like T12 and Champ...

    Uphill you have to hit it harder, down hill,,,take it easy, play more break...also look at the wind..it will affect the ball...seems to me, into the wind has more of an affect than with the wind...cross (med-heavy) play a tad, but not much IMO.

    I'm not the best putter, so can't give you a formula, as I putt via AV movements and adjust from there, but when putting here, as in real golf, you should try to putt "through the hole", and have confidence that you can make the 4-5-etcs foot comebacker if need be.

    Remember this, 100 percent of putts that are not hit hard enough, will always be short:)

    on a 30 ft meter is as follows:

    slow =27

    standard = 30

    fast = 33

    very fast = 36

    t11 = 39

    t12 = 42

    champ = 45..................

    if you r 49ft with a -11 inch elevation, you would hit it 38. do not take the slope or break into affect, no matter how much of a break or slope there is, the distance remains the same.........

    i always add a foot or two to make sure the ball gets there........

    gl........

    Heres a chart to better help::::::::

    here's the formula for any green speed. in case you get a tourney with 12.4 or 7.8  or whatever. you divide 10 by the green speed number plus 1 for uphill, green speed number +2 for downhill.  that is your multiplier. for example on a 13 champ green it would be 10/14 = .714 . multiply that number by your distance + elevation up. downhill on champ 13 is 10/15 = .667 x your distance - elevation down. this formula will work for you if you need to figure out an unfamiliar green speed on the fly. like those pesky bracket tourneys with 8.7  or 11.4 greens  i forget what all the standard slower ones ere i think 9 was just the distance with no multiplier  .but here's the magic numbers for the common ones. these are all for uphill. for downhill just use the speed for next tier.

    10 very fast,    .91????

    11 tourney,   .83

    12 tourney,   .77

    13 champ,   .71

    14 champ    .67
