can i make a suggestion? how about instead of randomly f*<king over someone's game and blaming it on "deviation," do like every other golf game in the world and penalize players who don't hit it right on the line, and make the penalty more severe the harder the swing is. isn't that kind of like "real golf?" the harder i swing in real life, the further into the woods my ball goes (if i don't catch it just perfect). i've only been playing for a short time, but i think the game is great. but it's frustrating as hell...i'm trying to "earn" my new clubs through winnings, and since i was promoted to "master" in about 2 weeks (don't ask me how), i have no shot at the stroke-play tournaments with my freebie clubs (i don't care how good your course management is. if you can only reach a handful of par 4's in regulation...you're not gonna win). so i'm trying my best at CTTH comps. maybe i'm just venting tonight because it seems like "the beast" is extra ornrey right now, but on hole #1 of edgewood, if I hit it DEAD CENTER i don't think i should end up 30 feet away behind the bunker!!!
i say penalize the players who don't hit the mark consistently, make the penalties more "severe" with the harder swings and less forgiving clubs, and make the wind more of a factor. at least if i blow it on some hole, i can say it was my own fault, and not because the program decided it was time for a ball to end up in a bunker (and there's nothing you can do about it!!!).
