We were pretty evenly matched today. On the front I was 1up early, but Scott got it back rather quickly. Back and forth on 7 & 8, but I pulled to 1up after hitting the approach on 9 to a little less than 2 feet.
Scott hit one tighter than that on 10, but I was fortunate to roll in an 11 footer. He birdied 11 to square us up again. Halves on 12, 13 and 14. Scott just missed a tough bender on 15, I made my short putt to go 1up.
On 16, I ran in a 10 footer left to right, Scott's answer from 6 feet just slid low.
To his credit, he didn't pack it in...hit his 2nd on 17 to just under 8 feet. I played a little more aggressively as a result and ran it past the hole about 23 feet. I 3 putted from there, and we went to 18.
I hit my approach to 7 feet below the hole, Scotty was hole hunting and hit a beaut...just under 2 feet. However I was able to roll in the birdie to win the match 1up
Thoroughly enjoyed the match Scott. Top notch player, and great guy all around (and we live like an hour from each other LOL).
