i tried pretty much everything(some helped a little , some not at all. kept trying, now i just happened upon something that smoothed out meter considerably!  set up to play, then click on the area in extreme right lower corner(it has 4 little arrows) it is for full screen mode.  the picture is now a bit fuzzy, BUT meter smooth as silk!!  worked for me.  i have no idea why it helps, but it does. any ideas anyone?

Zooming in makes you see less which in turn means less processes or actions need to take place within the game.  It's an old school trick for older flash games to play Zoomed in to achieve the same thing.

However, I toggle zoom view in and out like a crazy person hot keyed to my left trigger on my Xbox 360 controller, used in conjunction with my keyboard/mouse.  For some reason, when in FS mode that function no longer works.

Thanks for the information.  Ever since downloading the new Windows 10, there is sputtering and jumpy meter, adversely affecting the game.  I will try this solution.
