Is the wind direction meter at the top of the screen showing the direction of the wind from the player's point of view (I assume) or is it from the camera's point of view. They are not always the same... as in the screenshot below.
It is from the perspective of the golfer same as left or right of the click line. When you change camera view you'll notice the wind direction indicator changes as well.
