Was playing a round today and my meter started going crazy right from the first tee.  Couldn't figure it out because I had eliminated all the usual suspects and configured Java.  But, I had done one thing earlier today: I set my desktop background to change pictures every 10 seconds.  Turns out this causes huge meter issues.  Turned the auto-change desktop picture off and my meter was back to adequate.

    Hope this helps somebody.

Make sure you know when your AV updates, too, as well as the Windows update. I have the Windows update set to ask me first.

So if I took down my Jenna Jameson wallpaper, my meter will be smooth?  Not sure it's worth it.

She's performing a valuable social service.

Mine is set the same, does not effect it in the slightest.

    Smooth as can be.

You're dreaming, anything to explain a crook meter.

    The Owl.

Ummmm, nope.  Turned it off and it ran smoothly.  Turned it back on and it was jumping again.

You know, scientific method kind of stuff, and not subjective nonsense.

Gawd, no.  Leave it up.  Just don't have her change butt position every ten seconds.
