And nevermind my bogey on the second hole.  I got "VEM'ed", as they say.  ;-)

    Moderate wind.  Champ greens.

My, my. The putting stats speak volumes: 12 putts @ 59.88'  &  10 putts @ 50.04'....you two are putting wizards !

The longest putt hit by JJ was only 12.1 feet. His approach shots had to be what earned the 27.

Agreed.  I meant to point that out in my title as well.

I shoot a 27 by playing the Par 3 course, sorry couldn't help myself.

    That's great shooting!

Putting is an area I need to improve. I've had too many rounds where my average approach distance is single digits but don't score as well as I should have due  to putting.

I recently had a personal best on the Best of Par 5 with some of the worse driving I've had in a long time & from the longer tees than previous PB. I putted myself to 3 eagles and 11 birdies. Still a long ways from the best players but it felt nice to get all those one putts...

    The equation  is simple

Map your approachs, hit lots of dings, read and feel the putts very well and you will be great player

For me still miss  in my game almost all the equation  lol
