This message is NOT, repeat NOT, directed at anyone in particular.  If you feel offended after reading it, it is probably because you see yourself and you should take this advice to heart.

    **** number 1 ****

    STOP WHINING!!!  Just STOP!

WGT has a FREE game that you can play... FOR FREE.  They are not scamming you, they are not ripping you off, they are not picking your pocket... its FREE.

If you want to upgrade, they have that option... if you think they are scamming you for an upgrade THEN DON'T GET IT.  No one is FORCING you to upgrade.  They (WGT) are not holding your dog as a hostage until you do.  Upgrades are NOT A SCAM to get you to spend more money... the game is FREE.  Play Kiawah, get good, win tourneys and upgrade, WITHOUT SPENDING A FREAKING NICKEL!

It's not a SCAM.  If you can't play, DON'T BLAME THE PROGRAMMERS!

    ****** Number 2 ******

    STOP WHINING!!  Just STOP!

Bethpage Black is HARD.  Get used to it.  NEWSFLASH.. EVERYONE plays the same course with the same conidtions and the same available clubs.  THEY ARE NOT OUT TO GET YOU....  If you think its unfair.. see Number 1.

    *****  Number 3 ******

You are NOT 300 yard hitter.  STOP PRETENDING YOU'RE John freaking Daly because you're not.  95% of the "I am 300 yard hitter" whines wouldn't know a 300 yard drive unless it hit them from behind while they were looking in the weeds for their shanked third-shot.

Scratch golfers... yea.. there are probably 4 on the whole site.. and 1 of them is a PGA Pro sponsored by WGT.  That leaves three more.  You can fight amongst yourselves to see who gets it.

    ******************

Constructive criticism, new ideas, suggestions, bug-logs for the programmers, help tidbits and pointers are always welcome.. and even the odd rant.

Just stop whining.  ITS A FREE GAME AND YOU REALLY DON'T HAVE TO PLAY.

    ... whew.. /rant off.

Snaike: I'm with you on all of your points! I too wish all of the folks crying about this game not being fair would just go away! I too laugh at the post's made about not being able to drive the ball 300 yards and how they drive the ball on average 280 on a real course! The difference is #1 they are not being honest with themselves.. they might have driven a ball or two 290 or 300 at one point in thier lives, but to do it and hit the fairways each time... I dont think so! PGA players dont do it. #2 This is virtual golf! It's not real.. very close to it but NOT REAL!! They need to realize this.

    Totally Agree.

I especially agree with the driving the ball 300 yds. and everyone being a scratch golfer.  I played college golf and worked at few golf courses growing up.  I even competed in a couple long drive competitions, however, not much money in those.  From those experiences I can tell you that I was never a scratch golfer and maybe ran into a handful players that I would consider a scratch golfer.   Played with many people that shot par or better, however, not consistent enough to consider them a scratch golfer.  And even though I did those long drive competitions my average driving distance was never over 300 yds nor did I hit PW 155yds.  Because real players aren't trying to bomb the ball as hard as they can nor do they want a 70 yard difference between there scoring clubs,  LW-PW.

Somehow though, this website manage to draw the world's most talented golfer's in the history of the sport.

Yes I'm an 8 handicap in real life and I only average 260 a drive. The short game makes the player :)

I understand the sentiments but the game won't improve unless people....old and new...speak their mind. It's one thing to complain about how hard the game is, etc. It is another to point our real glitches that can make the game a little frustrating....winds and yardages that go the opposite direction despite perfect hits, etc. Those are things that need to be corrected. To some people who play alot and who are on the cut line it can be a frustrating part of the game. Again, I understand that there are alot of posts complaining but people aren't supposed to sit about game things that can be fixed and deal with it. It's how the makers improve the game.

As for the driving complaint. People love the accuracy but many would rather give up some of that to be able to hit it normal distances on many holes..with the regular clubs. I'm nowhere near scratch in real life. I shoot mid 80s. But I can get it out there here and there. I think that is all people are saying.....the pros can get it out there but they give up accuracy sometimes themselves and then hit their 3 wood. It just adds club selection and other things to their game.

Overall my main complaint lately has just been the glitches that make some aspects a little dicey.

Im now an 8 hdc and I DO hit the ball 280 + everytime I hit the course. The distance of the clubs does not bother me at all

the putting SUCKS. If the just fixed one thing the putting should be it.

Got to agree with you Jason - the putting is killing me at the moment.

Having said that, other people seem to manage it okay. I know tibbets is an extreme example, but he one-putts greens with monotonous regularity, and if you can do that your always going to shoot low scores.

In terms of the driving, I can understand some people's frustrations up to a point. In this day and age 230 yards max does appear pretty unrealistic, but then so does finding the fairway practically every time, even with a mis-hit shot. Maybe they could restructure the power meter to include a red zone at the top of the swing for additional distance, but which would incorporate a higher margin of error for fluffed drives, i.e. not on the 'perfect' line.

    Just a thought - I'm not whining, honest! ;-)
