  i started a couple of days ago and i won a stroke play match and i got 50 free credits or something so i played another match and won and i did not recieve credits i think i also advanced from hack to amateur in that match so was that how i got them or was it for some other reason?

  was the stroke play match a "ready-go"?  If so then it was prob from placing just high enough to recieve 50 crds.  If it was just a ranked round and no RG, then it was most likely you moving up tiers.  and congrats on that

  The credits were actually from advancing from Hack to amateur......

  Will I earn anything when I move up to a new tier?

  Yes, as you move up to new tiers you will earn WGT credits that can be used to purchase new virtual equipment or to enter tournaments. The credits you will earn are:

  
  Amateur: 50 credits
  Pro: 100 credits
  Tour Pro: 125 credits 
  Master: 150 credits
  Tour Master: 175 credits
  Legend: 200 credits
