well I already new who was in first place before I even started, just because I know how good he is. tibbets, my hat is off to you.
I had two bogeys, and 2 double bogeys on the front with the rest pars. On the back I had a birdie on 14, and a par on 17&18. THe rest on the back were bogeys.
I shot an 81, tibbets posted a 64. You don't have to be a math major to figure how many shots I was behind him at my current place of 278th on my first try.
It is not that I had any illusions of making the cut because I know I won't, I'm not good enough.
I had pleasure of playing the course. Man was it hard for me and I loved every shot and every moment of playing. The birdie on 14 (which I saved the video of) was my crowning moment of victory, the one true and perfect shot of 18 holes of play. WGT I thank you with all my heart for setting this up. I will play again and try to improve. But nothing can replace this first 18 holes, the experience of it was thrilling. As tough as it was I was in awe that this is the couse where the US Open will take place. My one and only way to ever play this course has just taken place, and 278 never looked so good. Congrats to everyone above me. Thanks again WGT, you have made the monthe of May, which in real life has not gone well, end on a good note.
