    -WHAT IS THE LONGEST IRON RECOMMENDED FOR RECOVERING FROM FAIRWAY BUNKERS?

    * REGARDING GREEN-SIDE BUNKERS...

    -WHAT SITUATION WILL MY SHOT REQUIRE ME TO USE THE MORE LOFTIER LOB WEDGE INSTEAD OF THE SAND WEDGE?

    The bunkers are all different at the 4 courses. The easiest way is to look at what the caddie suggests. While not the best club it's usually a hint to what will work.  If you see a long iron and have no wall in front  to negotiate, you're probably OK but need to add clubs depending on the depth you're buried. Always re aim. If the caddie suggests a lofted club, like Oakmont does, you're more than likely going to lose distance by taking more than the caddie suggests.

    Around the green you have 3 ways to effectively get out of the bunkers. Pitch, Flop or Full shots. What you use is totally up to you as there is no hard, fast rule. It depends on the lie, the walls of the bunker, your club's ability and the slope of the green. The only way you're going to know is by getting there and trying the different shots. GL
