There are quite a few tournaments for Amateurs to compete in. Check out the Tournament Calendar on the Tournaments page (scroll down to the middle of the page). The only tournaments that Amateurs cannot compete in are the Master and Pro Tier Opens. The rest of the tournaments either have an Amateur tier of competition or they are "All Tier Tournaments" where all players compete against each other regardless of tier.
